Being a Sister is so much more than meets the eye. One who aspires to Sisterhood must first look inward and decide if they have the strength to let go of their own ego and devote themselves to a lifetime of servitude. Not servitude to an individual but to a cause. One must take the word “volunteer” to its extreme in order ensure that the goal of their mission is selfless and that the mission itself is worthy of their dedication. A half-hearted effort to the mission is not acceptable. The mission should be as important as one’s primary needs and instincts regarding family, friends and career.
